Gesture Navigation
Since the beginning, Android has primarily been navigated by 3 buttons (Home, Back & Overview). For Android 10 the navigation bar went away and gestural navigation became the new default. I was part of a small UX team responsible for the redesign and was tasked with leading all motion efforts for this project. I was responsible for designing and collaborating with engineering teams to build out and iterate upon our designs. Physics were core to this project and we designed and implemented a system unlike any seen before in previous Android releases.
